# Movie Paradise, in full

Movie Paradise is a tracker and diary for movies, TV shows and anime, an indie project built and
maintained by a solo developer, updated frequently from user feedback. It runs on the web at https://movieparadise.app and as native apps for iOS, iPadOS and
Android. One account syncs your library, progress, ratings, lists and notes across every device.

Movie Paradise does not stream video. It is a library manager, diary and discovery guide for what you
watch on other services.

## Tracking

- Mark movies watched, add rewatches with dates, and keep a diary of when you watched what.
- Track TV shows episode by episode. Mark a single episode, a whole season, or everything aired so far.
- Show status is automatic: Not Started, Watching, Up to Date, Been a While, Paused, Finished, Dropped.
- Up Next shows the next unwatched episode for every show you follow; a calendar and a Your Schedule
  view list upcoming episodes and releases.
- Rate titles and episodes, react to episodes, write reviews and private notes, and tag titles.
- Timeline, year heatmap, statistics, rating charts, shareable stats cards and a monthly recap.

## Discovery

- Home rows: featured, trending, rising, streaming by service, from networks, now playing, upcoming,
  popular, top rated and popular people. Home is open to anyone without an account.
- Browse movies and TV by genre, network, production company, streaming service, year and more.
- Advanced discovery filters by rating source (IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Letterboxd, Metacritic, Trakt,
  TMDB), genre, provider, cast, content rating, keywords, runtime and year.
- Every title page shows ratings from several sources side by side, cast and crew, trailers, images,
  release dates by country, where to watch (stream, rent, buy) for your region, keywords, similar titles
  and community discussion. Person pages show biographies and filmographies.
- AI chat and AI recommendations tuned to your own taste (daily allowance on the free plan).

## Lists and sharing

- Watchlist, favorites, custom lists and smart lists that update themselves from rules.
- Public lists and public profiles can be shared; profiles can be private with approved followers.
- Follow friends, see their activity in a feed, browse their libraries and add their picks in bulk.
- Achievement badges and Discord linking.

## Import, export and integrations

- Import from Trakt, TV Time, Letterboxd, IMDb, Simkl, SeriesGuide, Showly, Refract, Cinematique,
  TodoMovies, Sofa Time, Moviebase, Eigabox, Medialib, and custom CSV or JSON files. Titles are matched
  by TMDB id so re-imports do not create duplicates. A previous Movie Paradise export can be restored.
- Export the whole library, ratings and lists to CSV and JSON at any time.
- Two-way Trakt sync. Plex and Jellyfin connections mark items watched automatically. A Stremio connection
  links your Movie Paradise library with Stremio.
- Watch Alerts: notifications for new episodes, movie releases and when a title lands on a streaming
  service you follow.

## Frequently asked

- Do I need an account? Browsing the web site does not need one. Tracking, lists, ratings and sync do,
  because they are stored on your account and synced across devices.
- Does Movie Paradise detect what I watch on Netflix or other apps automatically? Not on its own. You
  mark items watched, or connect Plex, Jellyfin or Trakt, which can do it for media they see.
- Where does the data come from? Metadata is from The Movie Database (TMDB) via its API; streaming
  availability is from JustWatch via TMDB; ratings are shown with attribution to their sources. Movie
  Paradise is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
- Can I delete my account and data? Yes: Settings → Delete account. Step-by-step guide at

- Is there a parental guide? Yes: title pages carry age ratings and content advisories (violence,
  nudity, profanity, substance use) where available.
