Switch from TV Time
Coming from TV Time?
TV Time closed in July 2026. If you saved your data before it closed, the Movie Paradise app imports it, so your shows, watched episodes and movies come with you.
Importing is free on every account.
Which file do you have?
Three kinds of TV Time file can be imported. Each brings different things, and each upload is its own import. Not sure which one you have? Upload it anyway: the importer tells them apart by what's inside.

Good to know
- TV Time's stars become a 10 point scale here, so 4 stars arrive as 8. Ratings come over for episodes and movies.
- Your movie comments and your older show and episode comments come over as public comments here, as they were on TV Time. Newer show and episode comments can't be matched to a title, so they stay behind.
- Shows you stopped arrive as Dropped, and shows you saved for later as To Watch.
- From the data export, episode rewatches keep their dates. Older exports only counted rewatches, so at most two dated rewatches per episode come back from those. A movie you watched more than once arrives as one watch.
- Specials (season 0) are not imported.
- A free account keeps up to 9 lists and 3 custom posters. The import summary shows anything above that.
Step by step
Step 1: Find the file you saved
TV Time is closed, so a new export can't be requested. Look for gdpr-data.zip, the Liberator .zip or your TV Time Out files.
Step 2: Open the importer
Sign in or create a free account, go to Settings, then Import, and pick TV Time. It works the same on the web and in the iPhone and Android apps.
Step 3: Upload it as it is
No need to unpack anything. Choose what to bring in, then start. The import runs in the background while you keep browsing.
Step 4: Check what came over
When it's done you see a summary and a list of any shows or movies that didn't match. A finished TV Time import also earns you the TV Time Survivor badge.
What's different here
TV Time's conversations live on
The Discussions tab on shows and episodes includes the TV Community Archive, a community-made, anonymized copy of TV Time's comments.
Web, iPhone, iPad and Android
One account everywhere, including the web app at movieparadise.app.
Up Next and a release calendar
Up Next lines up the next episode of every show you're watching, and the calendar shows what's coming for the shows and movies you follow.
Your data stays yours
Download a copy of your library from Settings, up to once every 24 hours.
Questions
Can I still get my data from TV Time?
No. TV Time closed in July 2026, and its data export closed with it. Only a file you saved before then can be imported.
Which TV Time files work?
TV Time's own data export (gdpr-data.zip), the .zip from the TV Time Liberator Chrome extension, and the files from TV Time Out, Refract's Chrome extension. Upload them as they are; the importer tells them apart by what's inside.
Does the TV Time Out file from Refract work?
Yes. Upload the series .json file first, wait for it to finish, then upload the movies .json file. If you saved the extension's .zip, upload that instead, in one go.
I have more than one file. Can I import them all?
Yes. Each file is its own import, and up to three TV Time imports can finish in 30 days; failed ones don't count. A second file adds what the first one missed and doesn't double up episodes you already have.
I moved my TV Time history to another app first. Can I bring it from there?
Yes. The importer also takes exports from Trakt, Simkl, Refract, Bingers, Sofa Time, Letterboxd, IMDb and more. Pick that app in the importer and follow its steps.
Is importing free?
Yes, on every account. A free account keeps up to 9 lists and 3 custom posters, and the import summary shows anything above that.
What if some shows don't match?
Shows are matched by their TVDB id, and movies by IMDb id, TVDB id, or title and year. Anything that doesn't match is listed after the import, so you can find it and add it yourself.
How big can the file be?
Up to 95 MB on the web. Bigger files import in the iPhone and Android apps.
Do I need the app?
No. You can import and track on the web at movieparadise.app, and the same account works in the iPhone, iPad and Android apps.
